A workshop, not a showroom
The glass bench, the grinder and the soldering iron are right beside where visitors sit. Nothing is kept backstage — you watch a piece come together in front of you.
A letter
Solar Art SpaceTo you,
Almost four years have gone by since the day Solar came into the world, out of a small idea that started with the pleasure of watching sunlight pass through pieces of coloured glass, leaving soft trails of light on a wall, on a hand, and somewhere inside a person.
It began in a small corner of District 8 in November 2022, and all we carried with us then was an infatuation with that miraculous light. The road went quietly on and brought Solar to the space it has now, in the middle of District 1. Looking back, we see it plainly: that first delight could make Solar, but it is your trust and your company that have been the sap keeping Solar alive to this day.
Every time we watch you patiently grind one piece of glass after another, or catch the moment you smile as your own piece lights up, Solar understands it has to get better every day. Stained glass — a fine, exacting craft that seemed to have fallen asleep — is now living again, more vividly than ever, in the hands of young Vietnamese who love art.
We have taken on this new appearance not only to look better, but to make a promise: to go on being a place that keeps and spreads the beauty of contemporary stained glass, so that this precious handmade worth is not worn away by time.
Thank you, for going with Solar to find again the small lights inside yourself.
Yours, dear friend,
Solar Art Space

where the visitors sit
There is no backstage. The glass bench, the grinder and the soldering iron share the room with the seats, so the sound of glass being cut and the smell of hot solder are part of the visit rather than something kept out of it.
Dropping in needs no booking. To sit down and make something, message a day or two ahead so Solar can set a place and the materials out.

A few short questions instead of a call that gropes around: Solar reads it first, then rings back about exactly what you came for — a workshop, a commission, corporate gifts, or stained glass for a building.
