Almost all of this piece is the wings: two pieces of veined blue glass, cut as mirrors of each other, though the vein inside them runs a different way. In the morning, when the sun first reaches it, one wing lights before the other, and the second waits a little longer. The body we kept dark and narrow, just enough to hold the two wings together.
