The cat sits with its back to us, long and slender, the chain fixed to its two ears. Its back is one large piece of cream glass; one ear is red-orange, there is a patch of yellow glass on its flank, and its haunches are two patches of red-orange and brown, the three colours of a calico cat. The cream tail curls out to one side, and from it hangs a chain with a clear stone. The ears and the tail are the two narrow points the whole piece hangs from, so the solder there has to bear weight.
