An orange koi swims across the middle of the piece, its body two pieces of grained orange glass, its fins and tail pointed pieces of milky white. Around it are water and lily pads, all in grained dark green glass: round leaves each with a V-shaped notch, their veins lead lines running out from the centre. The piece has no frame; its outer edge is cut along the rims of the leaves, so its shape is the shape of the pond.
