A square panel whose ground is clear grained glass cut into large pieces that fan out from the flower — the background is not empty space but rays of light. An orange sunflower sits in the upper corner, a small bud in the lower one, dark green leaves joining the two. Dividing the ground so every lead line leads back to the flower while the frame still stands is what the drawing has to solve before a single piece is cut.
