A frame for a photobooth strip: pieces of glass fitted around a gap exactly the size of the strip, then soldered up into a ridge so the photograph slides in and stays. That ridge is the 3D solder — the lead does not lie flat along the joins but is built up high, and building it up evenly is the work.
